　　How are you？ I havent seen you for a while. Hope all is well. Anyway， Im writing because Im inviting some friends over for dinner and I thought you might also like to join us.

　　親愛的鮑勃：

　　你好嗎？好久沒有見到你了，希望你一切都好。我給你寫信的原因是我要邀請一些朋友前來吃晚飯，所以想到你也許愿意一起來湊個熱鬧。

　　The dinner will be at my place， next Wednesday at 7 oclock. Mary is doing the cooking， which Im sure youll be pleased to learn. Ill be taking care of the bar.

　　晚飯就在我這里吃，時間是下周三晚上7點。瑪麗當廚，相信你會很高興知道這一點的。我掌酒。

　　Ive enclosed a map of how to get to our new apartment. Its a little out of the way， Im afraid， but weve got a spare room and youre welcome to stay for the night if you wish. In fact， theres an exhibitionon at the museum， so we can go and take a look on Thursday. One request， though： bring your majiang with you so that we can play after dinner.

　　我隨信附上了一張到我們新家來的地圖。恐怕是有點偏，但我們有多余的房間，所以如果你愿意，歡迎你留下來過夜。事實上，在博物館里有個展覽，因此，我們周四可以一起去看看。但我有一個請求：把你們的麻將牌帶來，這樣我們可以在晚飯后玩幾圈。

　　Anyway， do let me know if you can make it. My new numbers at the top of the page， so you can give me a call sometime.
