專四考試常見詞辨析：“引導”詞

　　direct, conduct, guide, lead, pilot

　　這些動詞都含引導之意。

　　direct : 指為某人指方向，但自己不一定親自引路，也可表示指導一群人的事或活動。

　　The general directed that the prisoners should be set free.(將軍命令釋放囚犯。)

　　conduct : 正式用詞，指引導某人去某處，強調親自帶領;也強調監督管理一群有共同目的或目標的人。

　　He conducted the members of the audience to their seats. (他引觀眾到他們的座位上。)

　　guide : 普通用詞，可與conduct換用，指引導者與被引導者雙方彼此合作，共同努力的關系。

　　This book guides us in using English words and idioms.(這本書指導我們如何使用英語單詞和習語。)

　　lead : 指走在前面給某人引路或帶路人共同去達到某一目標。用于抽象意義時，指在某項活動或運動中起主導和組織作用。

　　If the blind leads the blind, both will fall into ditch.(盲人領瞎子, 兩人都會掉進水溝里。)

　　pilot : 從原義為飛機、輪船導航借喻為指親自帶領某人去某處。

　　Tom didnt like to pilot the boat.(湯姆不愿為這只船領航。)
