SAT作文經驗分享題目分類

　　二.創造力，新思想。

　　1.Is creativity needed more than ever in the world today?

　　2.Does progress depend on people with new ideas rather than on people whose ideas are based on the current way of doing things?

　　3.Can people ever be truly original?

　　4.Is it always necessary to find new solutions to problems?

　　5.Is it always better to be original than to imitate or use the ideas of others?

　　6.Do closed doors make us creative?

　　7. Should people always prefer the new things, ideas, or values to those of the past?

　　這一類的題目強調創造力對個人及社會的促進和推動作用，出題角度較一致，從過去和現在說都可，可以聯系科技藝術的例子，屬于比較好寫的一類題目。

　　三.選擇，決定。

　　1.Are people better at making observations, discoveries, and decisions if they remain neutral and impartial?

　　2.Do success and happiness depend on the choices people make rather than on factors beyond their control?

　　3.Does having a large number of options to choose from make people happy?

　　4.Should people choose one of two opposing sides of an issue, or is the truth usually found in the middle

　　5.Are peoples lives the results of the choice they make?

　　6.Do bad choices and good choices equally have negative consequences?

　　7.Are we free to make our own decisions or are limited in the choices we make?

　　8.Is it important to understand peoples motivations before judge their actions?

　　9.Are peoples actions motivated by a desire for power over others?

　　這一類的題目有些分散，但是都圍繞著choice 和decision從各個角度探討它們與人的主觀能動性和客觀約束的關系。每個人都要做很多重要的決定，如何去正確的做出選擇，以及這些選擇對我們未來及他人的影響，都是值得思考的。有些題目可能不太好想觀點，那可以嘗試著用別的題目的觀點往里面套，找出共通的地方。

　　四.個人與集體，個性和自我。

　　1.Is a person responsible, through the example he or she sets, for the behavior of other people?

　　2.Do we put too much value on the ideas or actions of individual people?

　　3.Should people take more responsibility for solving problems that affect their communities or the nation in general?

　　4.Is it always best to determine ones own views of right and wrong, or can we benefit from following the crowd?

　　5.Is there any value for people to belong only to a group or groups with which they have something in common?

　　6.Are organizations or groups most successful when their members pursue individual wishes and goals?

　　7.Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way?

　　8.Should each individual decide what and how to learn?

　　9.Does the success of a communitywhether it is a class, a team, a family, a nation, or any other groupdepend upon peoples willingness to limit their personal interests?

　　10. Do we tend to accept the opinions of others instead of developing our own independent ideas?

　　11. Is it more valuable for people to fit in than to be unique and different?

　　這一類題目似乎跟第一類有些交集，但這里探討的更多是個人與集體的辨證關系。每個人都屬于集體中的一員，處理好與集體的關系是很重要的，但保持個性和自我也是很重要的。個人與集體利益價值觀之間的沖突，往往也是SAT作文題目的取材點。可以參照第一類的部分觀點，但也應更多地把論證集中在比較個人與集體上。

　　五.成功，金錢，名譽。

　　1.Is success in life earned or do people succeed because they are lucky?

　　2.Has the acquisition of money and possessions replaced more meaningful ways of measuring our achievements?

　　3.Is it more important to do work that one finds fulfilling or work that pays well?

　　4.Is it best to have low expectations and to set goals we are sure of achieving?

　　5.Do people achieve greatness only by finding out what they are especially good at and developing that attribute above all else?

　　6.Is the effort involved in pursuing any goal valuable, even if the goal is not reached?

　　7.Can success be disastrous?

　　8.Do people have to be highly competitive to succeed?

　　9.Do people achieve success only if they aim to be perfect?

　　10. Do people achieve more success by cooperation than by competition?

　　11. Do people place too much emphasis on winning?

　　如何衡量個人的成功，以及如何成功，不管是得到金錢還是名譽，這類問題不僅是考試的熱點，也是社會的熱點。也許你會把成功理解為幸福，但是這或許很容易跑題，在作文里寫成功應多參照一些成功學的觀點，可以講努力的過程和付出放在第一位，辨證地看待成功的問題。
